The "Got More" Initiative is focused on the startup community and fellow entrepreneurs, investors, donors and various players that are interested in tackling chronic conditions. Our initial focus is on Autism and related intellectual disabilities. It is estimated that the national cost of supporting Autism is currently $61 Billion per year (Autism Speaks). We are committed to improving the numbers and helping identify solutions that tackle the estimated $61 Billion.
What does M.O.R.E. stand for?
M = Meaning : Does it have meaning? Does the idea, solution, business, organization or team have true meaning behind what they are doing? This is where one's passion comes into play. You can not fake genuine passion and especially in the early stages of starting a company, it has to be your driving force.
O = Original : Okay, so you have passion and meaning, now what? What makes you and/or your solution unique? This is essentially your "special sauce" that sets you and/or your solution apart.
R = Real : Do you have a real idea and do you have a real solution? This is where you have to create a balance and your unique, original idea must face reality. You then have to determine how many people will agree with your reality (aka your market potential).
E = Experience : What is your experience? And no, I am not talking about your education but rather your real life experiences that led you to start this venture. At the end of the day, this is what will make you unique, will help determine a real solution and will essentially drive your passion (and meaning).
A Healthy Billion is 100% dedicated to helping individuals with chronic medical conditions...by the billions In order to do so, we want to help (and partner with) other like-minded industry experts who need additional support and guidance on their venture. The "Got M.O.R.E initiative will then foster partnerships between startups and non-profits that will support fundraising initiatives from day 1.
The "Got M.O.R.E" initiative is also a way for me to begin to give back to the startup community.
